Some past highlights...

• The Circle of Poets of Trinidad and Tobago together with the office of the Mayor of Port of Spain, inaugurated the first Poet Laureate of the city (and Trinidad and Tobago) in the year 2000.  (Visit the Poet Laureate tab for more info on the past laureates.)

• The Circle of Poets jointly chaired the Spoken Word/Oral Tradition component of Carifesta IX in 2007 with the Rapso Movement.
• The National Poetry Festival 2007 (A collaboration with the Idakeda Group Limited)
• The National Poetry Festival 2009 (A collaboration with the Idakeda Group Limited and the National Aids Coordinating Committee)
• Quinquagenary 2012- The first residential poetry-writing workshop with the Poet Laureate
