The dawn is finally here
A dawn that heralds the light of day.
A dawn that signals a new beginning
A dawn that springs forth out of the caverns of a darkened night.
A dawn that is surely a sign of hope
A dawn that is pure and untainted.
For always this dawn is victorious, because her medium is light!
What is your medium?
How long will you vacillate between the darkness and the light?
The sacred and the profane?
How much longer will you continue to entertain thoughts that are macabre and denigrating
Thoughts that are unproductive, stultifying and unfulfilling
Thoughts that are self-deprecating, contemptuous, and loaded with despair.
So take your cue from the dawn, and let the light in.
Let the light penetrate your mind as it travels deep within your soul.
A light that is dissecting, revealing and purifying.
Allowing the light to excavate the hurt that lay buried deep within you.
A hurt that you have protected by allowing it to take up residence
In that darkened cupboard of your mind.
A hurt that is covered by the veneer of grins and smiles,
And trite clichés of “I’m all right.” “It’s okay.”
But it is not “all right”
Until you are willing to lay bare your soul, and let your pain take centre stage
It is not “okay”
Until you are willing to unearth and examine your pain with the light of truth.
So unearth the pain of rejection
Excavate the pain of failure
And uncover the pain of self-doubt
So that you can be healed.
So let the light of love cascade into your heart
As love has the capacity to heal your hurt and sanitize your pain.
A love that teaches forgiveness of oneself, and for one another
A love that softens you and reveals the true light that lives deep inside of you
Which can create a glow that is incomparable.
Let the light in and live!
Live to be of service to humanity by contributing with enthusiasm
to the sustainability of this life-giving world.
Live to fulfill your true potential
And take your rightful place in this beautiful world.
