YOUR OWN WORDS

Dance Of The Palm Trees by Rachael N. Collymore              may 2017

Picture
Graceful with a gentle sway
The wind caresses - a light breeze blows

Elongated, stretching towards the sky
She dances

Poised in perfect form
The gathering of one, two, three
Down the lane, join in
Synchronicity.

Up and down, side to side
To and fro they go
Like ballet dancers twirl
On tippy tippy toes
All in a row.

Demi-pointe to plié
Swan-like perfection,
Palm after palm
Raise in salutation,

The envy among the trees.
Picture
"I have a deep love for nature and I gravitate to trees and bird-watching from time to time. One day my eyes were drawn to palm trees adjacent to my street and they were moving so gracefully as if dancing. The poem came."

Rachel... You are the envy among poets.
You have an eye for the gracefulness of
Nature.
Keep it up. I saw those trees swirling.

Congrats Rachael. Envisioning thegracefulness of the palms swaying in the gentle breeze gives me a great refreshing feeling. Lovely.
